Configure the feature

Try it out and see the results

Use [Identify] to display the number, and then drag the rectangle on the screen to the left, right, top, or bottom of the actual location. Select [Extend] with Win+P and configure the resolution and scaling for each screen. The mouse pointer moves between screens according to its physical location, and apps and new windows appear on the screen where you selected [Make this my main display]

If the cursor movement is reversed between the two devices placed on the left and right, drag the rectangles 1 and 2 in the display settings to the actual order and click [Apply]. Even when the screen heights are different, align the top or bottom edge to match the actual screen. Extend is a display that increases the work area, and Duplicate is a display that displays the same content on both sides. You can switch from Win+P for presentations and desk work.

Turn it off and restore the previous setup

Use Win+P to return to [PC screen only], or select the target screen in settings and use [Disconnect this display]. Save your work before unplugging the cable.

Limitations and requirements

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between expansion and duplication?

Extend uses a separate workspace on each monitor, while Duplicate displays the same screen. Expansion is suitable if you want to edit while looking at the document.
