Install the official version
- Install LocalSend on both devices from an official store or localsend.org and connect to the same reliable LAN.
Try it
Connect both devices to the same LAN, and on the sending side select [Send] → [File], then select the name of the receiving device that is displayed. If you accept it on the receiving side, it will be saved to Downloads by default. The save destination can be changed in [Settings] and there is no need to create an account.

Use it safely
It may not be detected due to guest Wi-Fi device isolation, VPN, or firewall. Requests from unknown devices will not be accepted.
Turn it off or restore settings
When not using LocalSend, first stop the resident, automatic startup, and synchronization settings in the app. Restore the association from Windows' [Default Apps], check the location of the created data, and then uninstall it.
- Complete or explicitly stop ongoing processing and close the creation
- Cancel automatic startup, monitoring, synchronization, and browser linkage in app settings
- Export the necessary settings and data and delete them from the OS application management
Limitations and requirements
