Use it safely
Vault creation alone will not synchronize between devices. Obsidian Sync requires setup with a separate subscription. Overlapping with another sync service may cause conflicts and requires a full Vault backup.
Turn it off or restore settings
When not using Obsidian, first stop the resident, automatic startup, and synchronization settings in the app. Restore the association from Windows' [Default Apps], check the location of the created data, and then uninstall it.
- Complete or explicitly stop ongoing processing and close the creation
- Cancel automatic startup, monitoring, synchronization, and browser linkage in app settings
- Export the necessary settings and data and delete them from the OS application management
