Step-by-step instructions
Record whether Chrome classifies the download as dangerous, suspicious, unverified, or insecure under [⋮] > [Downloads].
On Windows, you can also open your download history with Ctrl+J. In addition to the file name, record the full text of the warning and the URL of the distribution source. "Unusual files" and "dangerous files" are not necessarily judged the same.
Open the Downloads icon in the upper-right corner corner of Chrome and read the target name, distribution domain, and risk classification shown by Chrome. If the item is not there, open the [Downloads] page with Ctrl+J.
If it is dangerous or a virus is detected, cancel the download and remove it from the list. Do not comply with requests to ignore warnings.
If saving is blocked, stop there; do not bypass the warning or run the file. Even if you have already saved a file with the same name, do not run it until you have confirmed the judgment.

Follow the manufacturer's official website and check the file name, version, publisher, signature and checksum.
Do not rely only on links in search ads or information emails; follow the provider's official support or download page. If the checksum is not published, do not assume that the match has been confirmed and check with the provider.
If Chrome offers a scan, understand what is being sent and confirm with Safe Browsing. If it's dangerous, don't save it.
Scanning will only occur if Chrome guides you to the file. If you want to send your organization's confidential files or internal files to an external service, please check with your administrator first to see if the information can be sent.
If it is an organization block, pass the URL, business purpose, provider, and warning and request an approval route.
If you need to apply for permission, summarize the app name, version, purpose, official URL, and warning screen. In order to avoid being blocked, do not use methods such as obtaining files with the same name from another site or changing the extension.
Check the result
- Safe Browsing remains enabled
- You can check the official source and assumed version
If the problem continues
- Request HTTPS/signed distribution from the provider
- Check your Windows protection history with your administrator
