QUICK GUIDE

How to check your product and version

Windows

Press Windows + R, type winver and press Enter. The About Windows dialog shows the product name, version and OS build.

To find installed update numbers (KB numbers), open Settings → Windows Update → Update history. Menu names can differ by Windows version.

GPU and graphics driver

Right-click Start, open Device Manager and expand Display adapters. Double-click the GPU, then select the Driver tab to see its driver version.

The manufacturer's package version can differ from the driver version shown in Windows. Also check the system information in NVIDIA App or AMD Software.

Common apps

  • Chrome: open Settings → About Chrome, or enter chrome://settings/help in the address bar.
  • Firefox: open the menu, then Help → About Firefox.
  • Classic Outlook: select File → Office Account → About Outlook. Record both the product name and build number.

Opening an About page starts an update check in some apps. Follow your organization's policy on managed devices.
